힐튼호텔 1층 로비.
I finally saw the lower lobby of Hilton Busan
that I used to see in other bloggers' posts.
이게 이거구나 싶었다.
여기에는 컨시어지만 있고
레지스터 데스크는 10층에 있다.
On the ground level,
there is concierge desk only.
Register desk is located on the top floor, the 10th.
나는 높은 층을 받으려고
이그제큐티브 객실을 예약했다.
I booked a executive room
to be assigned on the higher floor.
그치만 내가 받은 층은 4층.
However, I was assigned the room 411.
힐튼은
디럭스->프리미엄->이그제큐티브 순으로
층이 높아지는데
층이 좀 낮은 것 같다고 문의를 드렸다.
직원 분께서 약간 쩔쩔 매시면서
2층인가 3층부터 이그제큐티브룸이라고 설명해주셨다.
다른 호텔과 다르게 1층이라고 해도
기본적으로 높이가 높은 층이 있고,
(아난티타운에서 실제로 1층처럼 보이는 곳이 B2층임)
힐튼 부산은 이그제큐티브 층을 많이 잡아 쓰고 있다고 하셨다.
As far as I know,
the level goes higher
as the grade of room goes up
in a order of deluxe, premium, and executive.
So, I asked why my executive room was lower
than I expected, like 7th to 9th floor.
Then the staff at a bit of loss explained
that Hilton Busan has executive room from 2nd(or 3rd) level.
She said that, unlike other buildings,
the level one is higher than the level one in other buildings.
She was right in this
because B2 level was the ground level,
which was higher than the sea level.
어느정도 믿음이 가면서도
내가 Orbitz에서 예약한 것도 있고
힐튼 할인할 때 예약한 것도 있어서
금액 커트라인에서 밀렸나 싶었다.
그래서 그렇게 쩔쩔매시면서
설명하실 필요는 없다고 괜찮다고 하고 나왔다.
Her explanation was convincing,
and I thought that I had to take into account
the fact that I booked it on Orbitz and discounted with Orbucks.
So I assumed that I was left behind by the Hilton's direct customers
in terms of total paid amount or profitability.
So I just set her at ease,
showing that my question was not a complaint.

The odd numbered rooms have ocean view.
문을 열고 들어갔을 때.
When I opened the door.
출입문을 맞아본 상태에서
좌측에 전신 거울이 있었다.
There is a full-length mirror on the left side of the door.
출입문 마주본 상태에서
우측에는
개방형 옷장이 있었는데,
콘래드 서울의 스위트룸 옷장과 비슷한 구조였다.
There is a set of open walk-in closet on the right.
It is similar to that of Conrad Seoul.
힐튼 부산이
모든 객실이 스위트룸이라고 영업은 하지 않지만
거실, 침실, 욕실이 다 구분되어 있어서
스위트 구조는 맞다.
Though Hilton Busan does not publicize
that all the rooms are suites,
but all rooms have suite layout.
넓이도 약 60제곱 미터 내외로
타 호텔에서는 이보다 작은 스위트 룸을
운영하기도 한다.
그래서 힐튼 부산 성수가 가격을 보고
마냥 욕할 수는 없는게
수요도 많고, 객실도 넓으니
엄청난 바가지는 아니라고 생각했다.
Some hotels have suite room, smaller than 60 squared meters.
Considering this,
I cannot complain how expensive Hilton Busan is
because there is a high demand and their room is spacious enough.

There are rattan couch and stool, table, coffee & tea, furniture for minibar, and others.

그러고 보니
스마트 TV인지 아닌지 확인을 안 해봤다.
I forgot to check whther it is a smart TV or not.
실내에서 오션뷰를 감상 할 수 있는 테이블이 있다.
This is a table
in which you can enjoy the ocean view inside.
왼쪽 문을 열면
비슷한 사이즈의 공간이 야외 테라스로 꾸며져 있다.
If you open the sliding door,
this space connects you to the terrace.

Terrace.
라탄 의자랑 테이블이 전부이지만
뷰가 열일을 하기 때문에
다 마음에 들었다.
It was just a small space with chairs and a table,
but the ocean view won my heart.

에비앙 3300원이 호텔치고
저렴하게 느껴지는 건 왜일까?
정말 궁금함.
How did I get to think a 3,300-won Evian was cheap in a hotel?

집기류를 실수로 안 채운건지
일부러 비워놓은 건지
잘 모르겠다.
I am sure whether it is a mistake or intentional not to fill the empty slots.

침실만 보면 넓지는 않다.
It may not look spacious.
그치만 그것도 납득이 가는게
그냥 킹 베드 사이즈가 아니라
더블 베드 2개를 합친 사이즈.
But, you have to consider
that this bed is twice as big as normal double bed.
침대가 엄청 넓다.
The bed is huge.
욕실에서 창까지 일자로 오픈할 수 있다.
You can open up the space from the bathtub to the terrace.

Bathroom.
디럭스나 스위트는
욕조가 창 밖으로 놓여있었는데,
이그제큐티브 객실은
욕조가 실내 깊숙히 들어와 있다.
Bathtub in executive rooms are installed inside
while bathtub in deluxe and suite is right next to the window.

비누.
Soap.
1회용 어메니티.
Disposable amenities.
헤어 드라이어.
Hair drier.
내가 집에서 쓰던 모델이랑 같아서
완전 편했다.
It iss the same dryer as I have in my house.

like 500 US dollars in other hotels.
힐튼 부산 근처에
프리미엄 아울렛이 있는 지는
나중에 알았는데,
좋아하는 브랜드가 없어서 안 갔다.
I knew there was a Premium Outlet near the hotel,
but I did not go there
because there were no brands I liked to see.
셔틀 버스가 운행하고 있는 줄을 몰랐다.
1박 아니었으면
셔틀타고 외출 했을 것 같다.
I did not know
there was a circular shuttle bus in this town.
If I had stayed longer,
I would had gone outside for sightseeing.

나중에 이야기하겠지만,
다모임, 룸서비스, 이그제큐티브 라운지
조리는 모두 같은 팀이 담당한다고 한다.
One main cooking team is in charge of
the all day buffet restaurant, in-room dining, and the executive lounge.
라운지 음식이 밍밍해서
룸서비스는 거들떠보지도 않았다.
The food in the executive lounge was very bland,
which was quite disappointing.
So I did not even look at the menu again
after I knew how the kitchen works.

건축 디자인의 승리!!
This hotel is all about the interior design and engineering.
우선 뷰를 객실로 끌어들이려는 노력이
대단했던 것 같다.
I really appreciate architect's efforts
to bring in the outdoor into the room.
요즘 럭셔리의 대명사인
대리석 같은 마감재는
전혀 쓰지 않았지만,
고급스러운 분위기를 자아내고 있다는 점에
높은 점수를 드리고 싶다.
거실 쇼파도 라탄이고
쇼파 옆 테이블도 그닥 비싼 재료는 아닌 것 같았지만
분위기랑 너무 잘 어울렸다.
Though this hotel does not have expensive finishing materials such as marble,
it still embraces luxury.
Furniture for staging is not made of expensive materials,
but it goes very well with the whole theme.
어둡고 진한 톤으로
객실을 다소 엄숙하다면 엄숙하고
차분하다면 차분한 분위기로 연출했는데,
기장 앞바다의 분위기와 너무 잘 어울렸던 것 같다.
The room is dark-based with a solemn vibe,
but tranquil.
It is well-combined
with the mood the ocean brings into the room.
비싼 마감재만이
정답은 아니라는 것을 보여주는 것 같았다.
It was like telling
that a room is not necessarily luxurious only with expensive materials
모든 객실에 스위트 구조를 입혀서
기능적으로 공간을 분리시킬 수 있게
미닫이 문이 많은 역할을 하고 있었는데
적당한 개방감을 주면서도
필요시에는 공간을 차단할 수 있는
장점이 있었던 것 같다.
반면에, 60제곱미터 정도의 객실에
모든 것을 다 큼직큼직하게 넣다보니
사람이 이동할 공간이 생각보다 넓지 않았다.
특히 침실.
Every room has a suite layout,
which functionally separates each space, using many sliding doors.
It give a proper openness if needed.
But there is a room enough for grown-ups to move around,
especially in the bed room.
그럼에도 불구하고
개성있는 분위기가 마음에 쏙 들어서
시간과 돈만 되면
계속 검색하고 있을 호텔 객실인 것 같다.
Even so,
I really really love the character of the room.
I am really willing to spend my time and money
to stay here gain.
