독신일기 Pt. 1 - One Happy Person

[1주년 기념 혼자 호캉스] 

콘래드 서울 Conrad Seoul

- 첫 혼자 호캉스 호텔 재방문 -

주말에 특별히 할일이 없고

콘래드 일요일 가격이 나쁘지 않길래

미리 예약해놨다.

최저가 객실로 예약을 해서

리버뷰인지 시티뷰인지 알 수 없는 딜.

지금껏 콘래드를 3번 왔었는데

한번도 시티뷰는 본 적이 없어서

이번 4번째 방문에 시티뷰를 봐야겠다 생각이 들었다.

그래서 예약하고 나서

컨시어지에 시티뷰 객실을 요청해놨다.

그렇게 배정 받은 시티뷰.

시티뷰는 생각보다 고층을 주셨다.

층수가 낮으면

IFC 건물들이 너무 속까지 잘 보인다는

인터넷 뉴스 기사(?)가 있었는데,

그래서인지 아닌지는

확인 불가.

체크인하고

주스가 땡겨서 10G에서

파인애플하고 다른 채소 섞인 주스를 구입.

20층의 시티뷰.

뷰만 보면

그렇게 나쁜 뷰는 아니라고 생각했다.

상당히 모던한 도시 느낌이 팍팍 났으니까.

그리고 리버뷰/공사장뷰는

정리안 된 어수선한 느낌이 있는데

여기는 공사장뷰가 아니니까

정리된 느낌은 확실히 있었다.

그렇지만

IFC의 다른 건물 내부가 보여서 

대부분의 시간은 커튼을 치고 있었다.

리버뷰랑 공간 면적은 똑같음에도 불구하고

커튼을 치던 안 치던

객실이 더 좁은 느낌이 들었다.

그건 아마도 빌딩이 가까이 있어서

시야를 막고 있기 때문에

상대적으로 갑갑하게 느끼는 부분이 있는 것 같다.

콘래드 디럭스나 프리미엄 객실은

층수랑 뷰만 다르고

나머지는 다 같아서

객실 사진은 따로 찍지 않았다.

콘래드의 제스트(Zest) 조식뷔페에

싫증도 나고 그닥 특별한 것도 없는 것 같아서

객실 예약할 때 조식불포함 조건으로 결제했다.

그래서 이번에는

인룸 다이닝 주문을 해서

아침 식사를 해결하기로 했다.

한식 조찬 세트와 정식 단품 중에서 고민을 하다가

결국은 만만한 미역국 정식으로 결정.

쇠고기 미역국 정식.

미역국.

미역국이 맛이 없는 건 아닌데

그렇다고 호텔 미역국치고 맛있는 것도 아니었다.

참기름을 많이 넣으셨는지

정체불명의 향이 강하게 올라오는데

약간 불편했다.

막상 먹으면 그 향은 잘 안 느껴지긴 했다.

낙지젓갈, 멸치볶음, 신김치.

낙지젓갈은 마음에 들었다.

마늘반 낙지반이 아니라서

보기보다 낙지 양도 많은 편.

멸치볶음은 그냥 무난했고,

신김치는 쿰쿰한 향이 나게 익어서

엄청 맛있는 김치는 아니었다.

나박김치.

나박김치도 엄청 맛없는건 아닌데

5성급 호텔에서 나왔다고 하기에는

약간 아쉬움이 남았다.

쌀밥.

체크아웃 직전에

점심으로 먹을만한 간식/식사를 

다시 10G에서 구입했다.

주스, 스콘, 잼

미트파이.

스콘은 무난했고

미트파이는 기름지지 않아서 담백했지만

그래서 약간 뻑뻑한 느낌도 들었다.

간은 아주 적당.

<총평>

우선 심적으로 매우 편안해서

좋았다.

힐튼 계열 호텔은

최상위 스위트나 펜트하우스 아니면

구조가 거의 같다.

객실 종류는 매번 달랐지만

내부 인테리어는 거의 같음.

그래서 더욱 익숙하고

편안한 것 같다.

단점이라면

객실 업그레이드를 해도

색다른 느낌을 받기가 힘들다는 걸

이번에 깨달음.

식음료 부분은

10G가 매우 만족스러운 반면에

다른 곳은 잘 모르겠다.

- 디럭스 객실 Deluxe -

지난 해 11월에

돌아버릴 것 같아서

이그제큐티브 스위트를 지르고 나서

다시 1월에 돌아왔다.

Last November,

I stayed at Conrad Seoul 

in order not to go crazy 

due to the stress from work.

And I came back in January, 2019.

리버뷰가 될 지

시티뷰가 될 지

알 수 없는

가장 저렴한 그냥 디럭스 객실에

조식만 추가해서 왔다.

I just booked a deluxe room

which did not guarantee 

if it has a city view or river view.

I did not care about it.

I just added breakfast buffet.

그만큼 나는 콘래드 서울에서

볼짱 다 봤다.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

이제 나는 콘래드에 

새로운 것을 찾아오는 것이 아니고

다녀본 곳에서 제일 가성비와 가심비가 

괜찮은 곳이라서 오는 것이다.

Now my purpose of visiting here is

not to experience something new.

I just find here 

to be one of the most cost-effective and cost-satisfying

after staying at different hotels in Seoul.

인테리어가 개인적인 취향과 부합해서

가심비가 높은 것이지

여기 고객 응대 서비스가 좋아서

가심비가 높은 것은 아니다.

The satisfaction comes from the interior design

which I personally prefer,

does not come from the guest service here.

이 호텔은

돈 낸 만큼만 돌려주는 그런 곳이니까.

The service in hotel is somewhat proportional 

to the amount of my payment for its service.

그래서 내가 지불한 금액은

조식 포함, 세금 포함

22만원대.

So I accepted the rate of 224,400 KRW

including breakfast and tax.

이제는 오르비츠는 사용을

자제하고 있다.

힐튼 앱으로 결제.

I restrain myself from Orbitz.

I booked it by Hilton app.

이제는 하나의 의식이 되어버린 듯한

카드 키 사진촬영.

Now it feels like a ritual

to take photo of card keys.

이젠 앱(app)으로 체크인하고

객실문도 여닫는 시대가 오고 있어서

카드 키 촬영이 언제까지 될 수 있을지는

모르겠다.

Recently, technology allows some hotels

to check in their guest with smartphone application.

For this reason,

I am not sure until when I can repeat this ritual.

객실은 11층부터 시작인데

12층을 받았다.

The rooms are from 11th floor,

my room was on the 12th floor.

높은 객실 받으려고 안달내지 않으니

12층도 상당히 마음에 들었다.

객실도 리버뷰가 아닐 줄 알았는데

리버뷰를 주셨다.

Now I do not mind lower level in Conrad Seoul.

So I liked the 12th level.

Plus, unexpectedly,

 I was assigned a room with river view.

12층 리버뷰.

사진을 안찍으려고 했는데

지금껏 왔던 날들 중에

하늘에 제일 맑은 날이어서

사진을 안 찍을 수가 없었다.

Since I had taken pictures of Han River view over and over,

I was not going to do it.

But that day the sky was the clearest.

So I ended up taking photos again.

페어몬트 호텔이 들어올 거라는

파크원 컴플렉스에서

가장 높은 건물.

The tallest building in the Parc 1 complex

will be a Fairmont hotel.

저 빨간색이 상당히 눈에 거슬리는데

우선 공사가 마무리되면

그 때 가서 별로인지 아닌지 판단하기로.

I did mind the red color,

but I delayed the final judgement regarding color choice

until the construction is finished.

건축 현장에 평행선처럼

저 장비들이 배치되어 있는게

재밌어서 찍어봤다.

I found it interesting 

that there are construction machines are aligned.

So I took pictures for Insta.

이번 호캉스는

와인 소진에 목적이 있었나보다.

하프 보틀(half bottle) 칠레산 와인을

칠링했다.

Maybe, the real purpose of stay

was to consume the wines from my home.

I chilled the half bottle wine.

점심을 거하게 먹었더니

저녁은 좀 간소하게 먹고 싶었다.

I ate a lot during lunch,

so I wanted to make dinner simple.

그래서 뭘 사먹어야할까 고민하다가

CJ에서 IFC몰에 마켓같은 것을 오픈했길래

기웃거리다가

데리야끼 치킨 비빔밥, 딸기, 체다치즈 과자를 사왔다.

Wandering the IFC mall,

I entered a new supermarket opened by CJ group,

and bought bibimbab with teliyaki chicken, strawberry, and cheddar-flavored snack.

I hope I can have time to post a separate wine review.

여러번 방문하는 것이라서

굳이 똑같은 객실의

똑같은 시설을 찍지는 않았다.

Since this was my third visit,

I did not took photos of the same room and furnitures.

저녁을 먹고

노트북으로 멜버른 식당하고 뮤지컬을 예약했다.

After the simple(?) dinner,

I booked a restaurant and musical in Melbourne.

집에서 가져온 입욕제를 넣고

반신욕을 했다.

And I took a bath 

with Japanese bath power.

그리고

핸드폰으로 인스타를 만지작 거리다가

잠이 들었다.

Then

I instagrammed for a while until I slept.

<조식 뷔페 Breakfast buffet - 제스트(Zest)>

이제는 홍차 없는 조식 뷔페를

상상하기 힘들어졌다.

I cannot imagine a breakfast buffet in a hotel

without black tea.

제스트 조식뷔페는

지난 해 3월에 먹었던 것보다

더 부실해진 것 같다.

In my opinion,

the breakfast buffet at Zest was 

poorer than last March.

조식뷔페만 이렇고

저녁에는 화려하겠지 생각은 했지만,

조식이 부실하다는 생각이 드니까

저녁에 감히 누구를 데리고 올 

생각이 안 든다.

I thought that the dinner would be better.

But perceiving that breakfast was not sufficient

I did not feel like inviting anybody for dinner.

지난 번에는 코파햄이 있었는데

이제는 코파햄이 사라지고

살라미만 있었다.

I remember there had been the coppa ham last March,

which was gone this January.

맛은 그냥 평타.

The food was not bad.

이그제큐티브 라운지 갔을 때

나왔던 핫푸드 3개는

엄청 맛있었고,

나 뿐만 아니라 옆 테이블에서도

맛있다는 이야기가 나왔었는데...

Last November,

three kinds of hot food were very good.

Even, the guests on the next table also said

that they are delicious.

제스트 조식은

그만큼 정성을 안 쏟는 것인가

의심스러웠다.

Now I am suspicious

that Conrad Seoul does not do their best at Zest.

마무리.

Last dish.

불이 꺼진 아트리오를 찍어봤다.

I took a photo of closed ATRIO.

점심약속이 살바토레 쿠오모인 것 잊고서

저녁에 아트리오 가려고 했었다.

다른 메뉴 주문하면 되긴 하겠지만

이태리 사람이 아닌데,

이탈리안 레스토랑을

1일에 2번 가고 싶지는 않았다.

I was almost going to visit Atrio for dinner

because at that time I forgot I reserved a table at Salvatore Cuomo.

Though I could order different menu,

I did not want to visit two Italian restaurants in a row for a day

because I am not Italian.

조식을 먹고

객실에서 컴퓨터를 만지작 거리면서

어제 예약한 것들을 확인하고

체크아웃 준비를 시작했다.

After the breakfast,

I recapped my bookings for Melbourne trip,

and I started to pack my belongings.

나는 요즘 1박씩 투숙하는 게 익숙해졌다.

사람들은 매일 짐싸는 거 귀찮지 않냐고 하는데

나는 이틀 연속 같은 조식 먹는 게 더 싫다.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Now I am accustomed to packing day by day.

Some do not like it,

but I do not like to have the same breakfast 

for two days in a row.

체크아웃을 하고

점심으로 먹을 샌드위치를 사러

10G에 내려왔다.

After the check-out,

I went down to the cafe 10G

in order to buy sandwich for lunch.

월요일 오전의 10G는

너무나도 한산하다.

10G Monday in the morning

was very quiet.

오레오 치즈 케이크였나? 그건 여기서 좀 먹고

참치 샌드위치와 주스 한병을 샀다.

샌드위치랑 주스는

KTX에서 먹으려고 샀는데

케익을 먹고 나니

열차에서 굳이 먹고 싶지 않았다.

회사에서 점심 겸 저녁으로 활용.

I ate Oreo cake there,

and packed a tuna sandwich and a bottle of juice

for lunch in KTX train.

However, after having the cake,

I was not hungry in the train.

So the sandwich became my lunch/dinner.

참치 샌드위치는

한 입 베어물때마다

참치소가 넘쳐 나오는데

기분 좋은 넘침이었다.

With each bite,

the tuna filling ran over,

which was great in a way.

10G의 샌드위치는

가격이 착한 것 같지 않다가도

맛이나 충실한 내용물을 보면

수긍을 하게 된다.

Sometimes the prices in 10G are expensive,

but the fullness of fillings and ingredient quality convince me.

10G에서 주문을 하니까

2층에 있는 누들바에서

유부초밥 무료 쿠폰을 주셨다.

I got a 1-free-yubu-sushi coupon

when I ordered at 10G.

누들바는

일식라멘을 9천원부터 판매하고 있다.

그렇지만

11시에 오픈하는 누들바에서

라멘을 먹으면

열차시간에 늦을까봐

매번 이용하지 않게 된다.

 The Japanese ramen prices start from 9000 KRW in the Noodle Bar.

But, I did not visit there

because of the risk of missing train.

케익 먹다가 우연이 발견한 문구.

By accident, I found the words.

인스타에 심심해서 올려봤는데

좋아요가 생각보다는 많아서 놀랐다.

Since bored, I instagrammed it,

which got more likes than I expected.

콘래드 서울의 자랑아닌 자랑거리가

이 소용돌이 모양의 계단인데,

볼 때마다 그닥이라는 생각이 든다.

Conrad Seoul always show off 

their spiral staircase as a unique feature.

Each time, I do not agree with that.

콘래드 서울은

새로운 도어맨을 교육 중인 것 같았다.

배우는 와중이라 정신이 없어보이시지만

열심히 하시는 것 같았다.

별 생각 없이 

"고생이 많으십니다. 감사합니다." 라고 했더니

살짝 예상하지 못했다는 눈치.

다음에 또 가격 떨어지면 놀러올게!!

<총평 Comment>

그냥 개인적으로

제일 맘이 편한 호텔이다.

Personally,

this hotel is the comfiest to me.

화려하고 서비스 좋기로는

포시즌스 호텔 서울이지만

그 돈으로는 콘래드를 최소 1.5박 할 수 있는 금액.

The best is Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

thank to their impeccable service and glamorous interiors.

However, there is a price to pay for it.

돈 걱정도 덜고

넓은 객실도 누리면서

쇼핑몰 들날날락 거릴 수 있는게

큰 장점인 것 같다.

Less concerned about money,

enjoying the spacious room,

visiting the shopping mall like my home,

those are the strong points for me.

그리고 무엇보다도

객실의 조명이

나의 마음을 편안하게 만든다.

And first of all,

I love the illumination,

which makes me at ease. 

이번이 겨우 3번째일 뿐인데

너무 편한 집에 온 것처럼

객실 문을 열자마자

가슴 속의 무거웠던 무언가가

촥 내려가는 느낌이었다.

I felt something in my mind was gone away

when I entered the room.

I feel very relaxed with this hotel

even though I visited only three times.

객실에만 혼자 있으면

세상 아쉬울 게 없는 호캉스였다.

If I do not use other facilities in Conrad Seoul

and remain in the room,

there is nothing I will ask for more from this hotel.

이그제큐티브 라운지가 있다.

Executive Lounge is located at 37th floor.

18층 뷰와 37층 뷰의 차이는

아파트와 한강다리가

얼마나 작게 보이느냐인 것 같다.

The difference in views between 18th floor and 37th floor

is how small those apartments look.

밤이 되면 이렇다.

많이 먹지 않겠다는 생각으로

예약을 했기 때문에

최대한 식욕을 자제하였다.

I controlled myself from excessive appetite.

In my own way....

핫푸드는 3개.

라자냐, 오코노미야끼, 가라아케.

There were three hot food.

핫푸드이긴 한데

좀 식은 음식이 있어서

아쉬움이 있었다.

왜냐면 식었어도

상당히 맛있었기 때문.

안 식었으면

훨씬 더 맛있었을텐데.

I hope the three dishes should be warmer.

It was still delicious even though it was cooled down.

I just wished I could have had them hot.

치즈, 햄류, 피칸, 라즈베리.

Cheese, hams, pecan, raspberry.

라즈베리 품질이 매우 좋았다.

깜놀.

건 라즈베리가 이런 맛이었구나하고

재발견.

The raspberry was of surprisingly good quality.

I rediscovered the true flavor of dried raspberry.

토마토 샐러드, 감자/단호박 샌드위치, 연어(인듯).

Tomato salad, potato/pumpkin sandwich, salmon.

스파클링 와인, 화이트, 레드, 위스키 한잔씩.

sparkling wine, white wine, red wine, whisky.

와인.

와인은 종류별로 1개씩만 마셔봤는데

와인은 음식들하고도 잘 어울렸고

와인 자체의 품질이나 풍미도 선방했다고 생각한다.

I tasted each kind of wines.

Each one was a good pair with food,

and the quality of the wines were better than I expected

in terms of body and scent.

요즘은 조식뷔페에 가면

치즈와 생햄을 쓸어온다.

These days

I almost sweep all the cheese and hams.

건토마토도 좋아하는데

안 담아올 수 없었다.

I could not help but have dried tomatoes,

 which I love.

테이블 안내해주시면서

계란 요리는 어떤 걸 원하는 지

주문을 받아가신다.

When I was guided to a table,

the server took my egg order.

한식 메뉴로 2차 본식.

2nd round, Korean food.

샐러드는 아쉽길래 한번.

It would have been sad if I had skipped those salads.

과일과 베이커리를 놓칠 수도 없고.

Fruits and bakeries are food not to be lost.

디톡스 주스였나?

Was this a detox juice?

<총평>

생각보다 와인 구성이 좋아서

만족스러웠다.

I was quite satisfied with the wine selection.

핫푸드가 식었던 것을 제외하면

음식도 상당히 맛있었다.

높은 점수를 준다.

Except the 'cold' hot food,

food was impeccable.

I highly appreciate it. 

콘래드 이그제큐티브 라운지

분위기도 좋고

라운지 직원들은 확실히

서비스가 조금 달랐던 것 같아서

추가 비용을 낸 만큼 돌려받는 것 같다.

I enjoyed the vibe from the interior of the lounge,

and the guest service was a bit better than other areas in the hotel.

In the end, charge for the executive access was worthy.

회사 생활이 힘들 때

훌쩍 숨어들어가고 싶은

내 마음의 고향같은 호텔.

To me,

Conrad Seoul is like my sweet escape/my mancave.

Especially I am extremely tired of work.

콘래드 호텔측에서 들으면

이번이 겨우 두번째 방문이면서

무슨 개소리야 싶겠다.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Frankly, Corad Seoul would laugh at me

saying "This is just your second stay"

직원 서비스가 좋아서라기보다는

인테리어나 건축, 위치 측면에서

마음에 쏙 든다.

I love this hotel,

not because of guest service,

but because of the interior design, engineering, and location.

전반적으로

어두운 느낌이어서

차분하고 집중력이 높아지는 느낌.

하지만

실제로는 그닥 어둡지 않은데,

일반 호텔보다 LED 간접 조명을 엄청 많이

때려박았기 때문이다.

At first glance,

it may look darker than others,

which makes me calm down and focused.

Actually, 

this hotel room has lots and lots of LED lights 

as concealed illumination,

so it is quite bright inside.

암튼

회사생활이 너무 고되고

서럽기도 하여

급하게 지르게 되었다.

Anyway,

I just happened to book this stay

because I felt exhausted and depressed.

힐튼 같은 글로벌 체인 호텔은

Orbitz로 예약하고 가면

대우가 조금 다른 것 같아

기분이 좋지 않지만,

Orbtiz 적립금 90달러가 쌓여서

이걸로 스위트 객실을 지르기로 작정했다.

Now I am starting to sense

that the guest service is a bit different

when I book through online travel agency like Orbitz.

But I have earned 90 dollar orbucks,

so I decided to use it all.

하늘나라에 있을 

콘래드 힐튼(Conrad Hilton)씨,

싼 값에 예약했다고

무시할테면 하세요...

나는 이런 수준밖에 안 됩니다.

Dear Mr. Corad Hilton in the Heaven,

You can look down on me

because I book at almost steal price.

I am sorry, but this is me.

다행히도

내가 멘붕이 왔을 때

객실가격이 다소 내려갔었던 지라

코너 스위트에

이그제큐티브 라운지 이용가능 객실이었지만

세전 405달러였다.

Fortunately,

when I had a metal breakdown,

the room rate seemed to drop a bit.

I could find an executive suite 

at USD 405 before tax.

세금이 10% 붙고,

Orbitz 할인코드는 적용되지 않지만,

적립금으로 355달러 결제 완료.

Though tax is added,

and this hotel does not accept Orbitz coupon,

I managed to pay only USD 355 with Orbucks redemption.

싸게 예약해서 좋기는 한데

싸게 예약한 만큼

얼마나 구린 객실을 줄지는

약간 걱정이 됐다.

I was happy that I made a good deal,

otherwise I was a bit worried how bad room they would assign me.

1816호.

No. 1816.

Executive 객실인데

18층을 받았다.

I booked 'executive' grade,

but I was assigned at 18th floor.

37층짜리 건물에서,

지난번 프리미엄 리버뷰로만 예약했을 때 22층을 받았는데

이그제큐티브 객실을 18층으로 준 게

뭔가 찜찜하고

역시 싸게 예약한 결과인가 싶었다.

Out of total 37 floors,

18th floor with executive grade.

It was not a good sign for me.

Last stay here, I got the 22nd floor room

by booking a premium room, which is lower than executive.

I could not say I was happy with the floor level.

그치만 심증만 있지

물증이 없다.

But this whole thing was my guess 

based on no proven evidence.

그리고

이날은 레지스터 데스크에

문의할 정신력이 1도 없었다.

Plus,

at that day

I was stressed enough from work to ask the register desk.

어차피

콘래드 뷰는

페어몬트 호텔 짓기 시작하고

미세먼지 심해지면서부터

점점 가치하락 중이라며.

So I started to self-justify

that the view here is going through a severe depreciation

since the Fairmont is being built blocking the river view.

정 고층 뷰가 보고 싶으면

이그제큐티브 라운지가서

한참 보다 오기로.

If I really wanted to have a nice river view,

I could have it at the executive lounge.

돈이 많았으면

이그제큐티브 객실 예약 안하고

37 Grill & Bar 에서 저녁먹고

Zest에서 조식 먹는 거였는데...

계산기를 두들겨보니

꿈에서나 그렇게 먹기로.

If my finance had been in a sound condition,

I would have a dinner at 37 Grill & Bar,

and have a breakfast buffet at Zest.

It was possible in my dream

after calculation

객실에 입장.

I entered the room.

파우더룸.

Powder room.

객실 문으로 들어와서

바로 오른쪽에 파우더룸이 있다.

On the right from the door,

일반 디럭스 객실 2개를 합친 면적이다.

Suite room is just 2 time as large as deluxe room.

콘래드 서울은

서울에서도 그렇고

해외 도시들의 콘래드와 비교해도 그렇고

객실이 상당히 넓다.

The rooms in Conrad Seoul is quite spacious

compared to the other Conrad overseas and other hotels in Seoul.

그래서

거실 공간도 엄청 넓다.

디럭스 객실의 

침실 면적을 다 차지하고 있다.

For this reason,

living room space is also huge.

It takes up bed room space in a deluxe room.

보통 집에서는

무식하게 커 보일

저 쇼파와 테이블이

전혀 과해보이지 않는다.

Those couches and tables would look huge in a normal house,

but it does not look like that in this living room.

요즘 작가병에 걸려서

나름 괜찮은 영작 표현이 있을 것 같아서,

혹시 집에 가져가도 되냐고 여쭤봤는데

안된다고 단칼에 자르셨다.

I wish I can be a good writer.

So I imagined that this magazine would have good English expressions,

so I dared to ask if I can have it.

The hotel said "NO!!"

거실 TV 양 옆에 설치된

보스 스피커.

Bose speakers are installed for TV.

호텔TV는 채널이 마음에 안들어서

호캉스와서 TV는 거의 안 본다.

그래서 사운드 체크할 일도 없었다.

In hotels, I do not watch TV

because channels are limited.

So I had no time to check the speaker sound.

18층 우측 코너의 한강뷰.

Han River view from right corner room at 18th floor.

그래도 우측 코너 스위트를 주셔서

그나마 '페어몬트 공사 중' 정면뷰는 피할 수 있었다.

Because it was a right-cornered room,

'Fairmont is building up' view was avoided.

페어몬트가

아코르에 인수가 되어버려서

기대감이 확 떨어지긴 하지만,

한강뷰를 보려면

나중에는 페어몬트를 가야하지 않을까 싶다.

Since Accor group acquired the Fairmont hotels,

I lowered my expectation for this upcoming hotel.

But, I may end up checking in this new Fairmont 

to see the river view.

다른 아코르 그룹 호텔의 디럭스 객실처럼

코딱지 만한 사이즈가 아니길...

욕조가 꼭 들어가 있기를...

I wish the deluxe rooms in Fairmont Seoul will not as small as other Accor hotels

I wish Fairmont Seoul will install deep soaking tub in every room.

침실하고 거실이 분리가 되면서

디럭스 객실에서 누릴 수 없었던,

성인 남성이 데굴데굴 굴러다닐 수 있을 만한

넓은 공간이 생겼다.

Since the bed room space is separated from living room,

there was a plenty of space in which I could roll around.

데이베드(day bed)? 체이스(chaise)?

양면에 통유리 창이 있어서

개방감이 있다.

It feels more open

thanks to the corner double windows.

그로 인해서

TV는 구석에 작은 사이즈.

Thank to that,

a small TV is located aside.

저녁먹고 돌아오니

벌써 많이 어두워졌다.

When I came back from the executive lounge blogging,

it darkened a lot.

라운지에 있는 동안

턴다운 서비스가 다녀가셨나보다.

It seems that turn down service was done.

올해 Orbitz로 투숙한

숙박일수만 35박인데

이런 초콜릿 선물은

처음.

This year, I have booked 35 nights on Orbitz,

this was my first chocolate gift from a hotel.

환영 과일도 안 주네라고 생각했는데,

그렇게 박하지는 않았다.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I was a bit disappointed that there were no welcome fruits,

but they were not that stingy.

저 초콜릿이

국산품이었는데

벨기에 노이하우스(Neuhaus) 초콜릿보다 

맛있었다.

The chocolates were made in Korea.

Unexpectedly, it tasted much better than Neuhaus from Belgium.

<총평>

매번 그렇게 다시 가서

쉬고 싶다고 노래를 불렀었는데

막상 쉬고 오니까

정말 살 것 같았다.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I had been thinking of revisiting this hotel for stay-cation.

It was so relaxing and happy coming back to this hotel

내 경험상

가성비 최고의 서울 5성급 호텔.

To me,

it is the most cost-effective 5-star hotel in Seoul

(The best is Four Seasons Seoul)

직원 서비스는 우수한 편이지만

포시즌스, 신라, 롯데에

견줄만한 수준은 아니다.

Guest service is good.

But it is not as excellent as Four Seasons, the Shilla, and Lotte.

내 재방문은

이 호텔 디자인한 건축가/디자이너 때문이라며.

조명을 너무 잘 쓰신것 같다며 칭찬.

ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

My revisit was all thanks to the architect/designer.

I compliment his/her usage of lights.

춥던 덥던 상관없이 

쇼핑 슉슉 갔다 올 수 있어서

더욱 마음에 든다.

I love this hotel more

because of the location.

Regardless of weather conditions,

I can shop anytime I want.
