베트남 항공 이용 후기

나트랑에 갈 생각은 별로 없었지만,
그냥 취미로 항공권 검색하다가
생각보다 저렴한 300달러 대의 티켓이
눈에 보여서 질렀다.
I never had thought of visiting Nha Trang.
As always, I was searching for any flights.
Then, I found a flight under USD 400,
which I ended up purchasing it.
지금 보니 한화로는
421,500원.
30만원 대에 구입했다고 생각했었는데
아니었네.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
그래도 직항이고
저가항공 아니라서
수하물도 조금 여유 있으니까
괜찮은 가격이라고 합리화.
It was non-stop flight,
and it allows more weight than Korean LCCs.
So I ended up justifying my purchase.
그치만
다른 주요 아시아 항공사들은
수하물 갯수 제한없이 30kg주는데
베트남항공은 20kg만 무료로 제공한다는 점이
아쉽기는 하다.
However,
I wish Vietnam Airlines also allows 30 kg of checked baggage
as other Asian airlines do.
그치만
그래도 감내할 수 있는 이유는
베트남에서는
쇼핑을 해오고 싶은 품목이
많지 않기 때문.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
But I am still okay with free 20 kg
because there are few things to shop in Vietnam.
<출국편 Departure>
베트남항공은
겨울철 외투 보관 서비스도 제공하지 않는다.
Vietnam Airlines do not store your coats and jumpers
for free.
아시아나의 외투 보관 서비스를 하는
크린업에어라는 세탁소에서
아시아나 이용객이 아니어도
돈만 내면 다 보관해주기때문에
크린업에어를 이용했다.
A laundry called Clean-up Air
keeps your clothing with charge
unless you are Asian Airline's passenger.
5일 보관에 1만원.
KRW 10,000 for 5 days.
웹체크인이 가능하다는
메일이 와서 웹체크인을 시도했다.
I had got a mail
that encouraged to check in on web.
웹체크인은 된건지
안된건지 모르게
되긴 됐다.
Anyway, I managed to check in online.
보통 웹체크인을 하면
위탁수하물 처리만 하는
창구를 별도로 개설해놓기 때문에
체크인 시간을 절약할 수 있다.
Usually,
there is separate counters for web check-in passengers,
where they can just drop off the baggage.
It saves time.
하지만
베트남 항공은
웹체크인 별도 창구가 없었다.
차례대로 줄 선 다음에
짐 붙이려고 가니까
그냥 보딩티켓을 하드카피로 출력해주셨다.
그럼 웹체크인은 왜 하는 건지??
Unfortunately,
Vietnam Airlines did not open any counter
for web check-in passengers.
I just had to line up like any other passengers
and wait quite a amount of time,
and I ended up receiving a hard copy boarding ticket
after checking in my luggage.
Then... why did I check in online?
새벽 6시 15분에 출국하는 비행편이라서
전날 일찍 다락휴 1터미널 지점에서 잠을 청했고
새벽 3시 30분쯤에 알람맞춰 일어났다.
The departure was 6:15 am,
so I slept a few hours at Darakhyu.
And I woke up 3:30 am.
그러다보니
공항은 너무나도 한산.
Incheon Airport at the dawn is quite dull.
면세점 쇼핑하려면
출입구에 대기하고 있는 직원의 에스코트를 받아서
감시 및 안내하에 쇼핑을 할 수 있는데,
이 직원분들은 그냥 야간대기조 느낌이고
상품에 대한 세부 정보나 판매 의욕이 거의 없으셨다.
If you want to shop in a duty free store,
you need an escort from the shop
who guides and monitors you.
The problem is,
they are not professional salespersons.
They barely knew about the products and are not motivated.
내가 받은 쿠폰도
여기서는 쓸 수 없는 것이라고 하여
프라다 향수는 내려놓고 탑승구로 향했다.
Plus, I was told my coupons could not be used there.
So I just put down a Prada perfume and headed to the gate.
탑승동은 피할 수 있었으면 했는데
기다렸다는듯이 탑승동 당첨.
ㅠㅠ
I wished I could avoid the concourse gate,
which I ended up failing to avoiding it.
한국에서는 돈을 좀 쓰더라도
외국에서의 시간을 최대한 활용하면서
내 연차 소진을 최소화하기 위한
눈물겨운 투쟁의 결과물이
오전 6시 출발 베트남 항공 탑승동 직항 비행편.
I chose this flight which departed around 6:00 am
because it saved my limited days of leave,
and maximized my stay outside the Korea.
It was a pity in a way.
나트랑/나짱가는 직항은 생긴지 얼마 되지 않았는데,
하노이나 호치민 가는 항공기만큼 크지 않았다.
The plane for Nha Trang was not as large as ones for Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh
복도 기준으로
좌우 3열씩만 좌석이 있고,
탑승구 앞쪽에 있는 비즈니스석도
TV 광고에 나오는 비즈니스 석이 아니다.
구린 비즈니스 좌석이라고 하겠다.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Total 6 chair in a row,
business seats in front area were not
like those in the TV commercials.
담요와 쿠션이 제공된다.
A blanket and a cushion.
개인 엔터테인먼트 시스템은 없다.
There is no such thing as
individual entertainment system here.
무릎과 앞 좌석 간의 거리는
요정도 된다.
(내 키는 181cm)
Leg room is this much.
(I am 181 cm tall)
좌석 번호가 저렇게 밑에 있어서
쉽게 눈에 들어오지 않았다.
It was not easy to find the row number
because it was down below the storage.
무조건 기장이 틀어주는 것만 봐야한다.
You have no choice on the video.
메뉴판을 주는 것은 좋았다.
Having a menu is a good service.
한국에서 준비된 기내식이라서
크게 입맛에 안 맞을 일은 없다.
This in-flight meal was made in Korea,
which made it impossible not to suit my palate.
남도 떡갈비과 김치볶음밥을 골랐다.
이거 메뉴가 생각보다 괜찮았다.
I chose Namdo Ddeokgalbi and Kimch Fried Rice.
It was better than I expected.
베트남 공항은
인천공항과 다르게
공항 중앙에 비행기를 세워놓으면
계단차가 와서 출입구에 계단을 붙여준다.
그럼 문을 열고 계단을 내려와서
대기하고 있는 연결버스를 탄다.
Vietnamese airports usually do not have a sort of connecting hallway
directly from planes to the airport.
A truck with staircase
comes to the plane and make a junction.
Then the doors are open,
and passengers move to the airport by bus.
그 연결버스를 타고
공항 입국장으로 들어갈 수 있는데
비즈니스가 먼저 내리기도 하지만
그분들은 10인승 안되보이는
승합차로 먼저 출발한다.
The bus for economy passengers
do not leave
until business passengers leave first.
그러고 나서야
이코노미 탑승객을 꽉채운 버스가
시동을 걸고 출발한다.
이제는 너무 익숙하면서도
넘나 짜증나는 시스템.
Now I think it is time for me to be accustomed to this,
but in fact, it is still annoying.
나트랑 공항 새로 지었다면서
이런 구식 시스템을 여전히 사용한다는 점에
혀를 내둘렀다.
It was astonishing not in a positive way
that a new airport adopted the old way of carrying passengers.
<귀국편 Return>
리조트에서
이륙 시간 2시간 전에만
도착하면 문제없다고 하여
이륙 2시간 전에 도착했다.
The resort told me
that it would enough to have two hours before departure
when I arrive at the airport.
공항에는 상당히 많은 인파가 있어서
깜짝 놀랐다.
It was a kind of unexpected
that there were so many passengers at this time.
베트남 항공의 체크인 카운터.
Vietnam Airlines check-in counter for Incheon
이 공항 이용객의 3분의 1은 한국인이고
3분의 2는 중국인인 것 같았다.
One-third of users were Koreans
and the others were Chinese.
It looked like that.
그래서 베트남 항공에서는
출항지에 따라서 줄을 따로 서게 하고
체크인도 별도로 진행했다.
In that context,

이날 축구하는 날이라서
공항 직원들이 축구 골 들어가면
소리지르고 난리가 났다.
공항 직원들만 축제분위기.
It was the soccer day.
With a goal in, the Vietnamese in the airport
shouted like in a festival.
승객들은 줄서있는데
직원들이 그렇게 축구생각만 하고 있는 것에대해
약간 탐탁치 않았다.
I was not that happy with it
because passengers were waiting for long and
the staff were not focusing on their duties
출근하니까
박항서 매직으로 덕 본 것 없냐고 물어보시던데,
박항서 매직(?) 때문에
공항 직원들이 업무를 소홀히했다는 말밖에는
할 말이 없었다.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
In my office,
one of my colleagues asked me on the Magic of Hangseo Park:
any great welcome, free gifts, or something.
Nope!
I can only say that their mind were not working properly.
깜란 공항에서
크리스마스 트리를 크게 장식해놨다.
사진 좀 찍으려고 했더니
허허벌판 놔두고 굳이 트리 앞에서
짐 풀어 헤치는 중국인 커플.
그 중 한 명의 등짝이 찍히고 말았다.
The Cam Ranh airport made a huge Christmas tree.
So I tried to take a picture without anyone in it.
However, a Chinese couple came up in front of the tree
and opened up their bags.
So I ended up having that picture
with a Chinese woman showing her back while repacking.
보안 검사에 앞서서
출국심사가 이루어진다.
한국인은 출국심사를 1-2명이 담당하고
중국인은 5-6명이 붙어서 출국심사를 진행한다.
Prior to the security check-up,
I had to go through emigration officers.
One to two officers for Koreans,
while five to six officers for Chinese.
중국인들이 한국인 줄로 몰래 이동하면
공항 보안검색요원이 귀신같이 알아채서는
화내면서 중국인 줄로 돌려보낸다.
Some Chinese tourists switched to the line for Koreans.
Then the security officer noticed it
and sent them back losing their temper.
한국인 대기줄은
승무원들이 출국수속 받으러 오면
일반 한국인 출국 수속 작업 중단...
The line for Koreans stopped
because the airline crews had a right of way at the emigration.
솔직히 좀 답답했던게,
승무원들이 비행 한두번 하는 사람도 아니면서
서류를 제대로 못 갖추고 와가지고
시간을 엄청 잡아먹는 직원이 더러 있었다.
To be honest,
I was a bit annoyed by some airline crews
who had documentation problems.
It is a part of their daily job, to me.
They should be ready for it, I think.
출국심사는
중국인과 한국인을 분리해서 진행하지만
보안검사는 국적 상관없이 한줄로 서서 진행한다.
Unlike the emigration process,
security check did not separate Koreans and Chinese.
중국인 관광객은
대부분 아줌마 아저씨 단체관광객 같은데
새치기를 막 대놓고 한다.
내가 막 노려봐도
눈치 좀 보다가
숨어버리거나,
니가 야리던 말던 무관심.
Most of Chinese tourists were middle aged,
but it seemed that they had a sense of public order for their age.
They almost professionally cut in line.
Even though I stared at them
like firing a laser to them,
They just hid away from my sight
or acted like they did not care.
모든 13억 중국인이 저렇지는 않겠지만
참 보기 좋지 않았다.
내가 노려봐서 쫄아도 절대 뒤로 돌아가지 않더라.
I know that all Chinese do not act like them,
but it will never contribute to forming a good image of China.
베트남은 롯데 천국이다.
By the way,
Lotte is everywhere.
위스기 구경하고 있었더니
2병 사면 할인해준다고 막 사가라고 하더라.
When I was looking around whiskies,
a salesperson tried to sell two bottles of whisky.
한국 면세 반입 제한은
최대 1병까지라고 2병은 안 산다,
위스키가 주세율이 상당히 높다고
이렇게 구구절절 설명하니 1+1 판촉을 중단해주셨다.
I refused her offer
because only one bottle of alcoholic beverage is exempt from taxing,
and whisky is one of the alcohols with highest liquor tax.
빅토리아 시크릿 매장도 있고,
Victoria's Secret.
롯데는 주류, 화장품, 담배가 주력인 것 같다.
Lotte was focusing on liquor, cosmetics, and cigarettes
나머지는 다 비슷비슷한 물건을 팔고 있거나
굳이 면세점에서 이걸 왜 살까?
싶은 것을 팔고 있었다.
Other shops were selling the same products
or those products that I questioned who would buy in the airport.
출국심사와 보안검사가 빨리 끝났으면
크리스탈 제이드에서 밥이라도 먹는 거였는데
시간이 애매해서 포기했다.
If emigration and security had taken less time,
I could have had a dinner at Crystal Jade.
각종 식음료점이 임점되어 있다.
F&B stores were opened.
모든 비행기 탑승구는
공항 양 끝의 좌측 또는 우측 계단을
내려가게 되어있다.
All the gates are located on the ground floor
after going down stairs
그래서 다시 나오는 롯데면세점.
On the way to the staircase on the right of the airport,
the same shops were opened.
면세품 파는 곳은
같은 상점이 좌우로 반복되는 경우가 많았다.
식당은 좀 달랐다.
나트랑 공항은
항공사 출국 티켓팅이나
보안, 출국심사는
다 2층에서 하지만,
막상 탑승구는 1층에 있다.
그래서
계단 또는 에스컬레이터로
내려가야한다.
Airline check-in, emigration, security are done on the second floor,
all the gates are located on the ground floor.
So you need to go down the stairs.
그건 아마도
비행기가 공항에 다가와서
탑승구와 연결되는 방식이 아니라
버스로 사람을 싣어서
비행기 앞에 내려주는 방식이기 때문에
1층에 탑승게이트를 설치할 수 밖에 없는 것 같다.
In my opinion,
This airport carry passengers to planes by bus,
so the gates should be on the ground floor.
이륙 시간은 21:40분이었으니까
일반적으로 30분 전에는
탑승 절차가 시작되어야 한다.
하지만 깜깜 무소식.
Departure was scheduled at 21:40,
usually, at 21:10, 30 mins before the departure,
boarding should have begun.
But no boarding announcement.
기다리는 거에 익숙하지 않은 한국인들이
문의 겸 항의를 해보지만
약간 당황해하면서도 로보트 같이
이슈(issue)가 있어서 지연되고 있다는
대답만 반복했다.
Koreans asked questions and complained regarding the dalay.
But the Vietnam Airline crews repeated like a robot
there were some issues with the plane.
그럼 이유가 뭔지,
얼마나 지연 예상되는지
안내라도 해줘야하는 것 아니냐고
다른 한국인 승객이 따져보았지만
그냥 기다리라는 말만 해놓고,
베트남항공 직원들끼리만
수다떨고 노닥거리고 있었다.
Then, Korean passengers wanted them to explain why in detail and
tell how long the delay would be.
But the crew did not care about the complaints.
They looked so happy with the soccer game and other things
chatting with each other.
그분들이 아무런 대응이나 당황도 하지 않고
그렇게 수다 떨고 손발 놓고 있으니까
한국사람들 성격에 열이 안 받을 수가 없었을 것 같다.
나도 좀 짜증났으니까.
The crew did not take any actions and
almost showed no response to the complaints.
And they kept chatting and laughing together.
That made Koreans angrier including me.
정확한 이유인지는 모르겠지만,
기장과 부기장이 입장을 하고 조금 지나니까
그제서야 막 급하게 탑승을 시켜주기 시작했다.
Later, captain pilot and first officer came late.
Then the crew began to work.
무슨 이유인지는 몰라도
기장과 부기장이 늦어서가
지연 이유였던 것 같다.
The captain and officer was
the reason why we had to wait,
I guess.
I do not know why they were late, though.
탑승 시간이 제대로 지켜졌으면
비 안맞고 탑승 할 수 있었을 텐데
나도 짜증이 좀 났다.
If boarding was not delayed,
we could have get on the bus without getting rained.
It was annoying.
역시나 같은 시설의 비행기.
The same plane.
무릎과 앞좌석과의 간격도 비슷.
The same leg room.
메뉴판.
Dinner menu.
베트남에서 준비된 기내식.
정체불명의 비주얼 메뉴가 등장했다.
In-flight meal made in Vietnam.
The visual aspect of it made me confused.
비주얼에 한번 당황하고
애매한 맛에 두번째 당황.
I was confused by the visual,
and confused again by the badly bland taste.
<총평 Comments>
지난 번에
푸쿠옥에 갈 때는
베트남 항공 서비스가
나쁘지 않았던 것으로 기억을 한다.
그래서
내가 크게 주저하지 않고
다시 한번 항공권을 예약했다.
Last flight by Vietnam Airlines to Phu Quoc,
the flight service was okay or good.
That was why I re-booked this airline.
그렇지만
이번 비행은 서비스가 별로였다.
However,
this time was not good at all.
그렇다고
다음 번에 베트남항공을 이용하지 않을 것이냐?
Then,
Will I never book this airline?
그건 잘 모르겠다.
베트남 항공은
인건비, 무료 위탁수하물 20kg 제한 등으로
타 항공사에 비해
비행 경비를 줄일 수 있는 요인이 많아서
곧잘 저렴한 가격에 티켓을 구할 수 있기 때문.
I am sure of that.
Vietnam Airlines can secure workforce at lower cost,
and it even limits the checked-in baggage up to 20 kg.
These make a room for it to cut down its cost and finally the price.
So I can easily find affordable flights from this airlines.
나는 호텔에는 많이 예산을 많이 잡고
비행에는 최대한 비용을 적게 지출하려는 성격이라서,
안전하게만 이동 시켜주기만 한다면
다시 예약은 할 것 같다.
I set a large portion of my travel budget for accommodation,
whereas I try so hard to cut down the flight cost.
So as long as I can move safely from country to country,
I think I can re-book this airline.
